RCA Remote
Control
|
|
There are many factors that can affect a remote's
ability to control a device. Some of the more simple ones are:
- On the remote, press the "To TV" button and try
again.
- Verify the light on the top of the remote blinks when any button
is pressed. If the light doesn't blink then the batteries may be
dead.
- Replace the batteries and try again. If the light on the remote
control still does not blink, there may be a problem with the remote
itself. Go to any MTA office to have it tested.
- Make sure your the remote's pathway to the device is
unobstructed.
- Ensure that the remote control is pointed directly at the sensor
on the device.
- Try using the remote control closer to the device.
- If you have a second set top box, try the remote control from
that unit and see if it works. If both remotes fail to control a
devices, it is likely the device or some other outside interference.
- Power cycle the non functioning Set Top Box.
- Call the Help Desk at 745-6821 or 272-6821
